ORTRAITS
Who doesn't have pet photos where the animal looks great but the surroundings are nothing to write home about? My pet portraits make great gifts, as well as eyecatching promotions for businesses - hand-done and bringing out the best of the subject!
Professional materials are used on archival-quality paper for these frameable portraits of esteemed creatures. My media of choice are Prismacolor and DerWent brand color pencils, graphite, and/or Conte crayons.
Portrait prices are shown below. Sending me an email query -Gwyn(at) HighHorseMarketing.com - is a great way to start, and I can send you a separate email address to which you may email photos (if you haven't a place to upload them, like a Facebook account).
To order: Snail mail a check or money order for your $25 deposit (non-refundable, applies toward purchase) and any materials as follows to High Horse Marketing, PO Box 51, Tamworth, NH 03886:
- Photos or good-quality printouts (works best at this time);
- A couple of notes on any unique behavior(s) or features. Examples: left ear twitches when annoyed, whiskers are thicker than appear in photo, marks on paws distinguish him from his littermate, note the extra "thumb" on left paw, etc.
- For multiple subjects in one portrait, please add $75 for each additional subject (deposit remains, simply, the non-refundable $25). Mix pets with loved ones! It's up to you!
- Good ways to contact you!
Portraits generally take two to three weeks, depending on workload. When I receive your order(s) and materials, I'll contact you to confirm receipt of the order, exchange details with you, and give you total quote of work price(s) and shipping.
Work will begin when the quote is approved by you, and the unframed work will be shipped, on receipt of the balance due, rolled and insured. If you would like a preview of it before shipping, please let me know. Your photos will be returned, also, thus finishing the exchange.
Q. What makes for a "good quality" photo?
Answer: A good rule of thumb is: if you were to show it to a long lost friend and still had to explain how angled the face is, it's probably a little too blurry for me to serve you well. If your subject photo is clear, yet you'd like me to try to place him/her in a setting provided by a different photo, include that one, too; we'll discuss any price differences before I start your order.
